It reads what you lifted, then moves the target.
Hit the top of the rep range on every set and the weight goes up. Fall short and it holds. You never have to work out what to do next — but you can change any of it whenever you like.

A coach that shows its sources.
Ask it anything about your training and it answers from your own plan, your equipment and 47 findings from published research — each linked to its paper and marked with how strong the evidence really is, including where it's thin.
Light and heavy loads build similar amounts of muscle when sets are taken close to failure.
You don't need heavy weight to grow. Sets of 20 with something light build muscle much like sets of 6 with something heavy, provided you push both near your limit. That matters most when your equipment is limited or a joint won't tolerate load.
Schoenfeld et al., Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2017Muscle soreness is not a valid indicator of how well a session worked.
Soreness mostly tracks novelty — a new exercise, a long eccentric, a layoff. A session that leaves you fine can be a better session than one that leaves you wrecked. Judge training by whether the numbers move, not by how you feel two days later.
