Moderate evidence

Training through a full range of motion generally beats cutting it short.

In practice

Take the squat to depth and let the dumbbell down all the way. Half reps with more weight on the bar look better and work less — and the stretched part of the movement seems to be where much of the benefit lives.

What it doesn't say

Range should be the range you can control and tolerate. A joint that hurts at the bottom is a reason to shorten the range for now, not to force it.
